The self described “MOMpreneur” started Camille Rose Naturals in 2009. “I wanted to address the ongoing issues of dryness, slow growth and to improve the overall health of naturally curly and textured hair types,” says Janell. As she researched, blended and mixed natural ingredients at home, Janell says she has found a set of formulas that not only works but also holds true to her vegan principals.
Where does the name Camille Rose come from? It’s an ode to her grandmother who she credits with teaching her how to “wear many different hats.” Like her grandmother Janell is a Mixtress, specializing in combining and creating homemade treatments. Some of the ingredients in her line include aloe, avocado, green tea and shea butter. Her number mantra? Moisture, moisture, moisture!

camille rose naturals are great. i was at this year’s essence festival in new orleans,la and i stuck out amongst all the natural hair wearers. everyone asked me what did i use and i was so proud to say…”camille Rose!”
