I have a ton of stuff to do. So much, I found myself second guessing my purpose today. “God”, I asked, “I thought having a calling opens doors, makes things easier. Am I pursuing YOUR will for me, or my own”?

I wish I could say I fully know the answer. But part of a faith filled life requires exploration. Falling down and getting back up. Sure, I want to quit a lot of times. But deep down, there is a mustard seed that reminds me, this race is for the one who endures – not to the quickest or the slowest.

So as I pray, things slowly fall into perspective. It’s not that being a wife, being a mom, being an employee, being a friend and being true to myself is overwhelming – the truth is I am not organized. And quite frankly, it mirrors my mind set. I’m scattered. Wanting to do my best – but planning as if I have 48 hours in a day instead of 24.

So as I digest my turkey and sweet potato pie, I am making a commitment to organize, prioritize and stop procrastinating. I am getting a calendar – old school black and white on paper – to get myself together.

I have too much to gain, to let frustrations from disorganization sidetrack my energy.

I’m taking a pledge today:

  • I still have 15 pounds to lose. I must get up @ 6am to get my workouts done. After work simply aint working.
  • I must confront tasks without procrastinating. Issues don’t go away. Regardless of outcome, I must try.
  • Take my kids to see a holiday play, hopefully “the nutcracker or rockettes”, make home made Christmas Cards, and adopt a needy family. After all, kids never remember gifts over the years, but they do remember how you made them feel. I want to teach them the joy of keeping healthy, productive family traditions, generosity and gratefulness.

Here’s to becoming more organized and centered.

What priorities are you going to take on?
