It’s 2 am. I want a bowl of cereal, but I’m too lazy to get up and get it.

I’ll spare my poor husband tonight. These rooster hour food runs are getting old…plus, I personally believe if my husband never sees another box of Frosted Flakes, he’ll be just fine. It boggles his mind how I can down a tupperware sized bowl of cereal in 3 minutes. But let me tell you – pregnant country girls like to eat… me included!

To be honest, I have given in to all of my food craving these past three weeks. And my big face proves it.

Shon's Pregnant!

Shon's Pregnant!

Its ridiculous how much joy Mocha frappes with no whip cream or chocolate drizzle brings… Its almost better than… OPPS… this is rated G. Clean thoughts, clean thoughts. :)

Maybe deep down, eating helps me cope with the unknown… the braxton hicks, the waddling, the extra 35 lbs, the 30 gazillion questions my boys ask daily (that I have no answers for), my baby’s health…and then the pain… the pain! That doggone pain!

I am about to seriously experience it within the next 48 hours. How do I know?Because tomorrow morning, I am meeting with my physician to try and stimulate labor by smearing some kind of hormone into my birth canal. If it doesn’t trigger labor within 24 hours, I’ll have to check in to the hospital, where an IV will be hooked up to my arm and liquid Pitocin will slowly drip into my bloodstream for a modern medical wonder called “inducing labor”.

Baby Peyton is overdue – so now she’s being FORCED out. Evicted from the womb. And like it or not, she’s coming.

Let’s just collectively pray for a safe, speedy and healthy delivery… Lord knows we need it!

Stay tuned for Shon’s real time updates in the delivery room.
