Organic fair trade designer Kate Quinn sat down with me to talk about her stylish line and why it’s important:

Two years ago my baby girl and I were enjoying a neighborhood stroll when I saw it in the window of our neighborhood baby boutique. A purple Kate Quinn lounge dress with detailed empire gathers, round pockets and the cutest collar! Not only did I want one for my daughter, I also wanted one for myself! (more on that later) Of course I snagged it on the spot and to this day I smile when I see pictures of my daughter in it. (She took her first steps in that dress!) The fact that it’s made with 100 percent organic cotton is certainly a plus.
