Summer officially starts in just a few days and there are few things that are at the top of my list of necessities. A fabulous, flattering bathing suit, a beach cover up, a few amazing white separates, sandals and some fun shades!
This week, we will take a look at the accessories that protects our eyes…Sunglasses!
The range of styles are numerous, so we will focus on the must haves and fun styles that are on trend for this summer!
The Aviator
For an immediate sophistication boost, the aviator is key. Classic Ray-Bans, now enjoying a huge popularity resurgence are a great example of this style:
Another great example of an aviation-inspired frame is this pair by Chloe:
The Wayfarer
While aviators never really went out of style, the classic wayfarer wasn’t as popular, until recently. Also a style by Ray-Ban fueling a trend resurgence; Wayfarers have been adapted and interpreted by many designers and they all have one thing in common…..they look AMAZING on almost every face shape and the higher temples on these guys especially complement round faces. The wayfarer is now a ubiquitous style and has been created in many variations:
Nina Ricci recently re-launched the classic style popularized by Jackie Onassis decades ago. As you can see, this works extremely well for a rectangular or square facial structure. You can pick up the original style worn by Jackie Onassis or any of the worthy spin-offs:
These are just a few of the shapes that are at the forefront of the trends in eyewear. Many other styles exist and are just as flattering. While they may not necessarily be the most popular and current choice; any classic style can be just right for your particular facial structure. Have fun checking out the various frame shapes; Cat’s Eye, Oval, Butterfly and Rectangular. Good luck finding what works for you this summer!

I am desperately trying to find the prada butterfly sunglasses. They are sold out everywhere. Any advice of how to go about finding them?
