Be Luminous Yoga – 30 Day Challenge
I need help. Seriously. My posture is horrible, my core is soft – dare I say flabby? This month, I’m challenging myself to “Be Luminous Yoga,” 5 days a week for one month. Who doesn’t want to be luminous?
We’re talking power Vinyasa yoga – which pairs breath, movement and heat to build strength, cleanse the body and stretch out muscles. The room is heated to 90 degrees, not as hot as Bikram which heats the room to 105. The goal is to heat the body from the inside out while the heat in the room helps relax the muscles. Instructor Michel demonstrates some poses for us, and what I can expect after 30 days!
Each week I’ll update you on how it’s going, but in the meantime, I’d like to challenge YOU to 30 days of trying something different, running, biking, hiking whatever floats your boat. Update me with your progress, every 30 days we’ll try something new!

This is fabulous Tonya! I hope you will grow to enjoy yoga as much as I do. Vinyasa yoga has become a part of me. I started practicing for its meditative and stress-relieving qualities, and now I feel so energetic, balanced, and youthful. Yoga melted away excess pounds (and then some) gained during my two pregnancies. And as far as my flexibility, I giggle in awe when I twist into some new “pretzel” pose (as I like to call it), because before yoga, I couldn’t touch my toes in a forward bend. So best wishes on your 30-day challenge journey, and I look forward to reading your updates! Namaste.

Best of luck on this new journey! I started practicing heated vinyasa yoga a year ago to help with my migraines and have never looked back. Scott and Michel are wonderful teachers of yoga and meditation ~ you pick one of the best and most beautiful studios in the city. You will not believe what you are able to achieve… Namaste.

it is easy to learn Yoga although it seems difficult at first try. I practice Yoga mainly for relaxation and for improving my blood circulation.

I did hot yoga off and on for months until I got serious about it in late April. Now, I’ve gone roughly 4 to 6 times a week for the last month. I’ve discovered everything that the woman in your video described. I’m strong, super flexible and can make it through a 90-minute power yoga class! I’ve seen progress in mastering difficult postures too. It’s great. I love it. I hope you do too!
