VIDEO Honey – Natural Beauty Serum

30 December 2009 One Comment

Antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal and antibiotic — WHEW, that’s certainly a three – four punch!  Recently, Honey Specialist Angela Graham schooled me on the health and beauty benefits of honey.   Not only is unrefined honey good for our insides — she says it does wonders for our skin and hair.   Check her out:

HOW TO APPLY TO SKIN:

  1. Pour unrefined honey into a chosen container about 1/4 inch thick. Cover and let crystallize.
  2. Splash water on your face, dip your fingertips into the honey bringing up about a tablespoon. Allot some for your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks and gently rub in circles.
  3. The wetness from the water on your face will make the honey very viscous and it will soak into your skin. You get wonderful exfoliation with the crystals.
  4. Massage into your face until there is nothing left on your fingers. Don’t forget to exfoliate and moisturize your lips! It tastes lovely!  Also, Graham has found it to be effective at removing eye makeup, it is gentle enough to be on tender under eye skin.
  5. Allow the honey to sit on your face while you brush your teeth and floss, when you are finished, wash what is left off.
  6. You will be amazed at how clean and soft your skin feels.
  7. NOTE: Unrefined honey is best.  Graham says many honey’s sold in grocery stores are heated past 170 degrees which means all of the benefits are lost.  You can find unrefined honey at most health food stores.   For more honey uses go to: http://sweetascanbeehoneyfarm.com/
